Heather Lois Maclean
Sept. 18, 1933-April 20, 2025
Los Altos, California

Heather Lois Maclean, 91, peacefully passed away in Los Altos on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Heather was born on September 18, 1933, in Alameda, California to Donald Barr Maclean and Lois Thomas Maclean. After graduating from Palo Alto High School, where she lettered in band, she attended San Jose State College. She joined Delta Zeta Sorority while attending SJSC and remained a lifelong member and friend to many of her sorority sisters. While Heather never married or had children of her own, she was a constant and loving figure in the lives of her niece’s children, Callie and Joe. Working in a clerical capacity for a few different schools over the years, her fondest memories were working at Los Altos High School and Menlo College. She retired in 1995. Heather’s love of theater was one of her greatest interests and she had season tickets to the Palo Alto Players and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley for many decades. Heather also had great interest and compassion for all things dogs and cats and was a regular donor to various charitable organizations throughout the country. She always remembered her loved ones' birthdays, holidays, and celebrations by sending a greeting card for each occasion.

Heather is survived by her nephew, John (Cheryl) Kirk, her niece, Betsy (Dave) Forrest Filippini, Callie (Matt) Forrest Reynolds, Calvin Reynolds, Joe (Shannon) Forrest, and her cousin’s children, Gracie Lunceford and Pam Maclean. She was predeceased by her father, Donald Barr Maclean, mother, Lois Thomas Kirk, stepfather William Kirk, Sr, and stepbrother William Kirk, Jr.

At Heather’s request, there will be no services. She was interred at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto, California.
