Richard Enthoven
Aug. 11, 1961-Sept. 4, 2025
Dallas, Texas
Richard Enthoven was born in Washington, DC in 1961 to Rosemary and Alain Enthoven. The family moved to Atherton in 1973. Richard graduated from Menlo Atherton High School. In high school, he was a member of the Key Club and the water polo team. He graduated from Stanford University in 1983 where he met Tucker Ford. They married and moved to Dallas. They returned to California to attend the Stanford Graduate School of Business. After graduation Tucker and Richard settled in Dallas where Richard had a thriving career managing middle-market companies and was a co-founder of several small electric and tech companies. In 1997, Richard and Tucker bought a house in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which became a gathering place for family and friends to enjoy the mountains in both winter and summer. He was engaged in numerous civic activities in Dallas, including being board Treasurer of Goodwill Industries and Casa. During his life Richard was blessed with many close friends and a large family. One of Richard's greatest joys was planning epic adventures with family and friends. He lived life to the fullest, always enthusiastic, optimistic, and ready to share a smile, a sunset, an encouraging word, or a glass of red wine with anyone he met.
Richard, 64, lost his battle with melanoma, surrounded by loved ones, on September 4, 2025. Rich is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tucker Ford Enthoven; his parents Rosemary and Alain Enthoven; his children Matthew (Ali) Enthoven, Nicholas Enthoven, Julia Enthoven (Tyler) Cook, and Alexander (Isheeta) Enthoven; his three grandchildren Skylar, Rowan, and Wilder Enthoven; his five siblings Eleanor (William) Hasse, Andrew (Glory) Enthoven, Martha (Daniel Stid) Enthoven, Nicholas (Ann) Enthoven, and Daniel (Elizabeth) Enthoven; and too many nieces and nephews to list.
