Peter J. Wong, 70, died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family on August 19, 2011 at his home in Menlo Park.

Peter was born to Pauline and Richard Wong on December 10, 1940. Peter attended UC Berkeley and received a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then earned his P.h.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

After a 20+ year career in engineering, Peter earned his J.D. from Boalt Hall at UC Berkeley and practiced law from 1993 until 2006. After retiring, Peter co-founded Micah?s Call and dedicated his free time to researching and writing about social justice issues.

Peter and his beloved wife Evelyn lived in Menlo Park for over 40 years, spending weekends at their condominium in San Francisco, attending opera, ballet and theater. Peter spent his free time with his children and grandchildren or traveling extensively all over the world.

Peter is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn, his daughters, Kristin Baker and Alison Wong-Huchard, their spouses and his grandchildren Cole & Ava Baker, and Suuley and Ajani Huchard.
