At rest in Redwood City, California, on Feb. 3, 2015, at the age of 103. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, on Nov. 26, 1911, to the late Lewis and Deborah Markowitz, Harry was a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, director of music programs in RI and played in the U.S. Army Band during WWII.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife Anne and son Laurence. He is survived by his son Elliot and daughter-in-law Aletha; daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren David and Jennifer Markowitz, Joshua and Alison Markowitz; and great-grandchildren Elysia, Shaun and Jeremy.
Our memories of Harry are many and special. His talent as a musician was great, his heart was big, his manner and disposition was sunny, his warmth and sincere concern for others knew no bounds. He was a respected and loved family man. The Winoker Family
