Frederick Dale Fullmer
Nov. 12, 1933-Nov. 21, 2024
Menlo Park, California

Frederick Dale Fullmer died on November 21, 2024 at age 91.

Born November 12, 1933 in Spokane, Washington, Fred was the first of two children of the late Fred Hudson and Mildred Zoe (Patterson) Fullmer.

In 1951, Fred graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle following his junior year because his family was relocating to San Francisco. It was there that he met the love of his life, Ruth Maison. Fred attended UC Berkeley and UCSF School of Dentistry, graduating in 1957 with a DDS. Following graduation, Fred and Ruth were married. Fred then entered the US Army as a general dentist and completed his tour of duty at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. In 1963, he completed the Orthodontic program from University of Southern California. Over the next 45 years, Fred maintained a successful orthodontic practice in Menlo Park. Consistently striving towards excellence, he also served as an adjunct faculty member of UCSF, School of Dentistry for 40 years. He was heavily involved in the Tweed Foundation, Angle Society, and Kiwanis Club.

As a young man, Fred enjoyed hiking, summers in Montana, and his involvement in Boy Scouts, attaining Eagle Scout Rank at age 15. Lake Tahoe became a favorite destination for enjoying the outdoors with his wife and young children. Fred always had a strong faith and valued his time serving as an usher at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church on Sunday mornings. His sense of God’s love was apparent throughout his life and we now are grateful he is reunited with his loving savior in heaven.

Frederick is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth, and survived by his sister, Patrice Faver, and children: Drew, Paul (Philip), Adele Stratton (Wendy), and Diantha Galli (Jerome), as well as 10 grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews.
