Daniel K. Moore Jr. of Visalia, who grew up in Atherton and attended local schools, died July 18 of complications from brain cancer.
Mr. Moore was born in Beaver, Pennsylvania. He attended Menlo School and graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School. A graduate of Stanford University, he earned his MBA at the University of Southern California. While at Stanford, he played on the varsity golf team and was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. After college, he worked for Castle & Cook for 15 years, living in San Mateo. He served as an executive for a number of companies, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing for Billiou's in Porterville, California.
