Barbara McCulloch Visbal, who taught First Communion preparation classes at St. Raymond Church in Menlo Park from 1961 to 1989, died April 29 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for 18 years. She was 75.

Ms. Visbal graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Menlo Park in 1949 and attended the San Francisco College for Women.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, J. Malcolm Visbal of San Carlos; children John Visbal of Lafayette and Erin Mara of San Francisco; and seven grandchildren.
